Privacy Policy

The short version

SaleSafe manages product prices for scheduled sales. We store the minimum needed to do that job: your shop domain, your sale configurations, and price snapshots of the products you put on sale. We never collect, store, or process your customers' personal data. We don't sell or share data with anyone.

What we store

• Shop information: your .myshopify.com domain, timezone, currency, and plan — needed to schedule sales correctly and enforce billing.
• Sale configuration: names, discounts, schedules, product selections, tags, and labels you create in the app.
• Price snapshots: the original price and compare-at price of each variant in a sale — this is the safety mechanism that lets us restore your prices exactly.
• Audit log: a record of every action the app took (prices changed, restored, skipped), so you can always verify what happened.
• API access token: the offline token Shopify issues on install, used solely to perform the actions above.

What we do NOT store

• No customer names, emails, addresses, or order data.
• No payment or financial information (billing runs through Shopify).
• No analytics trackers or third-party advertising pixels.

Where it lives & who can access it

Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Neon) and processed on our hosting provider (Fly.io), both over encrypted connections. Access is limited to the app itself and the developer for support purposes.

Retention & deletion

• Uninstalling revokes our API access immediately.
• When Shopify sends the shop/redact request (48 hours after uninstall), we permanently delete all data for your shop — sales, snapshots, audit logs, everything.
• customers/data_request and customers/redactrequests are acknowledged automatically; since we hold no customer data, there is nothing to return or erase.

Your rights & contact

You can request a copy or deletion of your shop's data at any time. For GDPR/CCPA requests or any privacy question, contact umashankar.pardhi@amla.io. We respond within 30 days (usually much faster).

If we ever make material changes to this policy, the "Last updated" date above will change and significant changes will be announced in the app.
