How does SaleSafe protect my prices?

Before changing anything, SaleSafe saves every variant's exact price and compare-at price. When the sale ends, prices are restored from that snapshot to the exact cent — never recalculated. Every step is written to the sale's activity log.

A price wasn't restored and shows "Needs attention" — why?

That price was edited mid-sale (by you, your team, or another app). SaleSafe never overwrites a newer value — it reports the conflict and gives you a one-click "Restore them anyway" button on the sale page. That's the point of the app: report, don't clobber.

The countdown / ribbon / announcement bar isn't showing

• They appear only while a sale is running on that product.
• The announcement bar is an app embed: Online Store → Customize → App embeds → enable Sale announcement bar.
• Countdown and ribbon are blocks: in the theme editor, open your product template and Add block → look under Apps.

What do the product tags do?

If enabled, SaleSafe adds your chosen tag (e.g. "SALE") to products for the sale's duration and removes it afterward — tags you already had are never touched. Point an automated collection at the tag and your sale page builds itself.

Billing and plans

The free plan runs one scheduled or active sale at a time (up to 25 products). SaleSafe Unlimited is $4.99 per 30 days with a 7-day free trial, billed through Shopify. Uninstalling ends billing automatically.

What happens if I uninstall during a sale?

Shopify revokes the app's access the moment you uninstall, so end your active sale first — open it and press "End sale now", wait for "Completed", then uninstall. That guarantees originals are restored.
